Style and Design
Larger version of the 7' x 7' Blockley, the Bancroft which is also marketed as the Honeybourne shares the same attractive external appearance and internal headroom giving a bright and even roomier interior. The pentagonal design and apex roof are attractive features as are the generous, fully glazed double doors to the front. Attractively priced and finished in quality materials, the Bancroft is a popular model in the 8 x 8 size range.
The Bancroft is finished in pressure treated 12mm tongue and groove cladding. The roof too is in tongue and groove for longevity with a covering of quality sand felt. The floor is of rigid sheet construction and the windows finished in 1.2 mm styrene. All wood used in the construction is FSC approved.
The Bancroft's 8' x 8' footprint gives overall dimensions of 11'5'' (3.48m) wide and 8'4'' (2.54m) deep1. The eaves height is 6'3'' (1.91m) rising to an impressive 8'1'' (2.46m) at the highest point of the roof. The double doors are an accommodating 6' (1.83m) wide by 5'10'' (1.78m) high.
The Bancroft's timbers are pressure treated to ensure protection from rot and provided the summerhouse is well maintained it carries a 15 year anti rot guarantee for peace of mind. The pressure treatment should remove the requirement to re-treat the wood annually.
An ecobase plastic base is available for an additional charge.
The summerhouse is flat packed for delivery. It is recommended that assembly be undertaken by two people.
