Style and Design
The Blenheim is a well built corner log cabin of some character. Its unusual design incorporates a covered 3' (0.9m) verandah allowing you to sit on the porch on those increasingly rainy evenings when the weather is warm. The building itself is bright and airy with large top hung windows and doors glazed from top to bottom.
The basic model is clad in 12mm redwood shiplap on 44mm by 34mm redwood framing. Alternative options are listed below. The summerhouse is fully glazed with ornate antique style hinges and a lever lock fitted to the double doors for security.
The Blenheim is available in three sizes; 9'x9' (2.75x2.75m), 10'x10' (3.05x3.05m) and 11'x11' (3.36x3.36m) - (these dimensions include the verandah). The height at the eaves is 7' 5'' (2.26m) and at the ridge 7' 10'' (2.41m). The door opening measures 5'1 1''x 3'7'' (1.79x1.1m).
The Blenheim is supplied dip treated in a water based wood preservative. A finish will require to be applied on delivery/installation.
There are a number of options available to upgrade the basic model or to customise it to your preference, some at an addtional charge. You have the choice of Georgian windows (illustrated) or diamond, square leaded or plain glass. The standard glazing is not toughened but may be upgraded. You can upgrade the cladding to 15mm loglap or 19mm premier, the framing to 44x44mm, the floorboards to 18mm wood and roofing felt upgrades are also available. In addition, profiled fascia boards may be chosen and you can opt to dispense with the upright supports should you so wish.
The Blenheim corner summerhouse is diy/self assembly but a fitting service is available in some areas.
