Style and Design
A truly stylish octagonal corner summerhouse ideal for the corner of the garden, the Veronica comes in two versions, one with two double opening side windows, the other with four. It's constructed throughout in quality materials and features an attractive design with an overhanging pyramid roof. The windows are finished in an appealing Georgian style and the large double doors make for easy access. A "serious" octagonal summerhouse, the Veronica is practical as well as affording a great focal point.
The Veronica is finished in robust 28mm Nordic spruce wall logs with 19mm tongue and groove floor and roof. The roof covering is either roofing felt or bitumen felt shingles in black or green - note that with some suppliers there may be an extra charge for roof covering so take care to check the options on the seller's website before ordering. The building also features pressure treated flooring joists, glass windows and cylindrical locking double doors and is available with an assembly kit.
The summerhouse measures 9'6'' x 9'6'' which extends to 12'9'' x 12'9'' when the overhang is taken into account. Height at the eaves is an ample 7'1'' rising to 10'2'' at the apex of the roof. Doors are 3'2'' x 5'9''.
The Veronica is supplied untreated other than the pressure treated joists. A suitable decorative/preservative finish should be applied to the entire building at the time of assembly and refreshed on a regular basis throughout the life of the building.
You may find an installation option available from some sellers and you should note that roof coverings are optional with some sellers. The Veronica 2 comes with two double opening windows while the Veronica 4, as the name suggests, has 4. Other than this the building has the same dimensions and layout. You can see plans of both options here (opens in a new tab).
Unless an installation option has been purchased the summerhouse will be delivered ready for treatment and diy assembly. The building is supplied in pre-formed panels so construction should be relatively straightforward. You can download a copy of the assembly instructions here (opens in a new window) to see exactly what's involved.
